Free 90 Day Limited Home Warranty -
The Free 90 Day Limited Home Warranty is provided to our buyer clients at absolutely no cost and there is no deductible paid should a claim be needed. This warranty program is different from the various 1 year home warranties and does not compete with other 1 year home warranties.
The free home warranty begins the day the home inspection is performed and continues for 90 days. If there is an extended closing period, the warranty company extends coverage for an additional 22 days after closing at no cost! Should a repair be needed, this warranty allows the client to choose the repairman of their choice at no cost and there is no deductible.
The free home warranty's coverage includes most central Heating and Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Electrical, and Structural components as well as built-in Kitchen Appliances, Gas Lines, Roof Leaks, Water Heaters, etc. with no deductibles paid. Some limitations do apply. Only major appliances that are inspected and functional at the time of the home inspection are covered under this warranty (pre-existing conditions are not included).
Important Note: The Free Home Warranty and Free Appliance RecallChek® are provided by 3rd party companies which are unrelated to WIN Home Inspection Elizabethtown in any way. A third party(s) company unrelated to WIN Home Inspection Elizabethtown will contact the client to finalize the warranty application and provide a special offer approximately 2 months after the inspection date. If the client does not respond to this contact, the warranty company reserves the right to terminate the home warranty application. The decision of the home warranty provider to honor a warranty claim is the home warranty provider's alone. WIN Home Inspection Elizabethtown assumes or accepts no liability or responsibility by providing the Free Home Warranty and/or the Free RecallChek® to our home buyer clients. Free Appliance RecallChek®
RecallChek® is the first service for consumer recalls in the United States and has compiled a database of over 195 million recalls from public records, to create a fail-safe system to check for potentially dangerous flaws with home appliances. If a manufacturer designs or produces a dangerous product, they MUST issue a recall and fix the product free of charge.
WIN Home Inspection Elizabethtown records the model numbers of the accessible built-in major appliances during the home inspection and submits this data to RecallChek®. Appliances with manufacturer data that can not be readily or safely accessed or is no longer readable as well as appliances that are not included in the home's transaction are not included in the RecallChek®. The major appliances that we typically include are: refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, built-in microwave oven, water heater, A/C compressor, and central heating system. The client can even add appliances to their RecallChek® account at a later date should access later be provided. Future appliances that the client purchases can also be added to their RecallChek® account for free for future recall notifications.
This program is important because many home owners do not fill out manufacturer registration cards when they buy a new appliance. This registration process would typically be the only method for a manufacturer to notify consumers of a specific product recall. Also, if the original appliance owner moves and a new owner takes possession of the home (and the included appliances), the RecallChek program would likely be the only way the new owner would be made aware of a product recall.
Within a few days after the home inspection is completed, the home's buyer and their real estate agent will receive a RecallChek® report (sent directly from RecallChek®) listing any potential recalls on record found for the submitted appliances. This free service is intended to provide homeowners with valuable information about the built-in major appliances in their newly purchased home. RecallChek® also sends updated RecallChek® reports on a quarterly basis to the home owner in case future recalls are issued.
Historically, 1 out of 10 appliances is subject to a manufacturer’s recall for either a fire, electrical shock, or another serious safety hazard. RecallChek® provides up-to-date important information to appliance owners that can save lives.
